Anti-Racism Training

Many situations in the last few years have once more shed light on structural and individual inequalities in wider society and at work. Individuals and organisations want to find real, positive and constructive ways to engage in:

·      Difficult or uncomfortable conversations about race

·      Developing better connections with and to each other

·      Supporting dialogue, rather than competing monologues

Using the Cycle of Behaviour Change and a Motivational Interviewing approach, we believe these conversations can change the dynamic to make a significant impact leading to real and positive change.  Devised and developed over the last four years, this workshop is for anyone who is impatient with circular conversations around race and wants to influence positive action in the workplace.

Develop Confidence

Enhance your skills in having important conversations about race that often get shut down for fear of giving offence

Hands-On Practice

Participants will have the opportunity to practise using Motivational Skills and the Cycle of Change to make conversations more productive

Bring Policies Alive

Move beyond good policy statements and intentions to have practical and meaningful conversations that both sound and feel different

“I really enjoyed it. I especially liked that it was a space in which we could consider our own biases”

“It was a really great forum to have a reflective conversation to consider how MI can be used to support people to consider different views.”

“A very thought provoking course. Curiosity is key, rather than a defensive response.”
